Reviewing the Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM S ?
Dear DXO team,
As a dedicated fan of your publications, I have been visiting your website almost daily and do enjoy your work. Newly, I have been staggered by one of your last review about the Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM A! It won hands down the first place again the Carl Zeiss Distagon T 35mm f/1.4 ZE… which was absolutely unexpected from my point of view.
It was clearly said during the last Photokina that Sigma has changed its strategy and the Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM A is a perfect example of it. Therefore I would like to ask DXO Mark if you have planned to review the Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM S ? I know that you are not used to publish reviews about telephoto however I think that would be a great opportunity for the following reasons:
- There is no equivalent range from Canon or Nikon, therefore it arouses a huge interest as one can see on many photography’s forum,
- It would give a bit more information about the new Sigma’s policy / strategy,
- Many photographers are waiting for trustable and reliable tests about this new lens, and DXO is able to provide such tests,
- It would settle all negative and positive speculations about Sigma and especially about this lens.
This is obviously a non-exhaustive list of reasons to review this lens, however I and many other are looking forward to read something from you about it!
