Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM measurements and review

The Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, a very light and small equivalent to a 16-35mm on a 35mm camera, is well suited for landscape or indoor photography. For example, the non-rotating front element eases the use of polarizing and graduated filters, which are very popular for landscape photography. It is to be noticed that this wide angle zoom can focus at a distance down to 24 cm.
Its Super UD glass lens and its two aspherical elements perform should give it a good image quality. Let's see if the DxOMark measures confirm this.
We will compare the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM with its Nikon equivalent: the Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED
- Both lenses manage to keep the distortion low
