Announced alongside the slightly more accessibly-priced EOS 750D (Rebel T6i in the US), the 760D shares many of its sibling’s features, including a new 24.2-Mpix CMOS sensor, hybrid AF system, improved metering and built Wi-Fi, yet has improved controls aimed at enthusiasts. Read on to find out how well this new model’s sensor performs.
Canon has expanded its lineup of entry-level DSLRs, adding two new higher-resolution models to its range. The Canon EOS 750D and EOS 760D are both built around a new 24.2Mp APS-C sensor and offer the same set of features in slightly different shells, with one camera body designed with the more experienced photographer in mind. Let's take a closer look at how the two models differ.
With an 18-Mpix CMOS sensor the Canon EOS 1200D, otherwise known as the Rebel T5 in the US and Kiss X70 in Asia, is the latest entry-level model DSLR from the maker. Read on to find out how this newly updated model performs.
Following on from the firm’s hugely popular E-M5 and E-M1 models Olympus has introduced a new ‘entry-level’ model, the E-M10, sharing most of the features of both siblings. Read on to find out how the new model performs.
The Nikon D5300 is the successor to the year old D5200 featuring a similar 24-Mpix CMOS sensor of it predecessor but lacking an optical low pass filter for improved clarity. Read on to find out how well the new camera performs.
Introduced in July this year, the EOS 70D at first sight seems like a regular update to the maker’s mid-range EOS 60D model. It shares a number of features with the firm’s existing SLR range including a 19-point cross-type phase detection AF system, a 3-inch (1.040M dot) articulated touchscreen and built-in WiFi connectivity with remote viewing and image transfer. The camera can also shoot at up to 7fps and has 1080/30p video recording with stereo sound using an optional external microphone.
Following on from the enormous success of the OMD- E-M5, the firm has now upgraded its flagship PEN E-P model with a ‘5-axis’ stabilized 16-MPix MOS sensor. Read on to find out how well it performs in our labs.
Following on from the distinctive styling of the K-30, the new Pentax K-50 is a mid-range, sensitively priced DSLR featuring a tried-and-tested stabilized 16-MPix CMOS sensor with fine-tuned image processing and sensor sensitivity of up to ISO 51,200. Read on to see how well it performs in our labs.
After the runaway success of the full-frame 35mm f/1.4, Sigma is taking the initiative with this new ultra-high speed, pro-level standard zoom designed for APS-C format cameras. The specification is particularly promising, but does it mean the end of fixed focal lenses for APS-C? Read on to see how well this cutting-edge model performs in our labs.
With its compact and lightweight body, the Canon EOS 100D / Rebel SL1 / Kiss X7 is the smallest DSLR in the firm’s line-up. While it adopts a similar performing sensor to the EOS 700D, the body is around 25% of the size of that model by volume and presents its own set of challenges when selecting lenses for it. In this review, we’ve taken a look at the optical quality of 130 different lenses fitted to the camera but this time we’re also making some limited recommendations about the handling and video capabilities.
Hello everybody. First of all thanks to the DXOMARK team for their outstanding work. It would indeed be nice to have the newer Nikon 24MP DX bodies tested. I think that many people are intested in buying some new lenses but are waiting to see how they perform on the 24MP sensors (d3200, d5200, d7100). It will be very interesting to see the real impact of those extra pixels in terms of actual image resolution ? Greetings everybody.
There might be no major upgrade but the T5i still has the latest and best features today. But if you are looking for "beginners" or entry-level dslr, you should consider the Rebel SL1. Read the review at http://www.squidoo.com/canon-eos-rebel-sl1-review
