May I suggest that instead of waiting with the D800E and do an extensive test later, that you move up D800E in your priority and do a test much sooner, but just test the very best lenses (from the D800), or the most popular lenses - not necessarily all lenses. My guess is that owners of the D800E are most interested in the best lenses possible, not lenses that scored poorly on the D800.
And please - when the new high performance series from Zeiss comes - please do test them immediately. :)
Thanks for your interest in DxOMark.
We are late :(. We try to assess the new cameras in first priority. And then we perform measurements on other high priority cameras.
As we already performed 2 Full Frame Nikon cameras the Nikon D800E is not our first priority.
Other brand needs their first lens recommendation (we did not perfom the Olympus OM EM5 or the Panasonic GH3)
The next lens recommendation will be:
- Olympus OMD EM5 and Panasonic GH3 very soon
- Pentax K50
- Olympus PEN EP5
- Nikon APS-C cameras
- Nikon D800E
Some other new cameras could be included in this list when they will be announced and so add some delay for the publication of the older.
Sorry for that.
Stay tuned !
