Re: Very odd score: needs explanation
Thank you for your interest in DxOMark, and our apologies for the late reply.
The DxOMark score does not take into account CA, as it can be corrected without any loss of information. All the other aspects, on the other hand, are taken into account. Here is how we process: for each focal, we take the best aperture, and in the case of the 60mm f/2.8 G, the best score is achieved at f/2.8.
The former version (D) achieves a very high sharpness at f/5.6, but when you take noise sensor into account - in lowlight condtions as we proceed to compute the overall score - the best focal aperture remains 60mm f/2.8. Unfortunately, sharpness is not as high as we measured it at f/5.6, and that difference explains the odd DxOMark score in regard to the other score you're mentioning.
